OREGON UNIVERSITY SYSTEM STANDARD PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT CONTRACT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOREST ROAD MAINTENANCE 2012-2014 The Oregon University System (OUS) is accepting sealed bids for a public improvement project at Procurement and Contract Services, Oregon State University, 644 SW 13th Street, Corvallis, Oregon, until 2:00 PM local time February 7, 2012 for the Forest Road Maintenance 2012-2014 project located in both Benton County, outside of Corvallis, Oregon and Columbia County near Mist, Oregon. The project includes maintenance of the forest-developed road system and administrative-use road system within the boundaries and jurisdiction of the McDonald-Dunn and associated tracts and the Blodgett Tract of the OSU Research Forests. The work may include ditch maintenance, culvert replacement, vegetation removal, and other miscellaneous work. Contractor shall have Oregon Professional Logger status or other American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA) Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) approved certified logger program. The Owner intends this to be an indefinite quantity Contract for the services and supplies specified effective for a period of up to three (3) years. A minimum quantity of Work will be guaranteed for the first year of the Contract, with the possibility of additional Work as the need and funding availability arises. The Owner may, at its sole discretion, elect to extend the Contract to include similar maintenance work in successive years, if the Owner is satisfied with the Contractor's Work. A minimum quantity of Work will be guaranteed for any extension period. Two (2) mandatory examinations of the sites and conditions will be made. Bidders shall meet with the Owner's Representative at the Research Forest Office at Peavy Arboretum, off Highway 99, north of Corvallis, Oregon on January 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Bidders shall also meet with the Owner's Representative at the dam of Fishhawk Lake at the Blodgett Tract on January 26, 2012 at 11:00AM. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud on February 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM, local time, at the Property Services Building, 644 SW 13th Street, Corvallis, Oregon by the OUS representative or designee. Bids will be received on a lump-sum basis for all of the work. Bid packets may be obtained from Procurement and Contract Services, Oregon State University, 644 SW 13th Street, Corvallis, Oregon (phone number 541-737-9635) only upon deposit of $60.00. Additional sets may be obtained for a non-refundable purchase price of $30.00. Bid packets may be examined at Procurement and Contract Services, as well as at the following locations: Daily Journal of Commerce Plan Center, Portland; Eugene Builders Exchange Corporation, Eugene; Salem Contractors Exchange, Salem; McGraw Hill Construction, Portland; Central Oregon Builders Exchange, Bend; Douglas County Plan Center, Roseburg; Willamette Valley Bid Center, Tangent; Contractor Plan Center, Clackamas, and Reed Construction Data. All bidders must comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law in ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870. All bidders must be registered with the Construction Contractor's Board at the time of bid submission. No bid will be considered unless fully completed in the manner provided in the "Instructions to Bidders" upon the Bid Form provided and accompanied by Bid Security.
